Stockton Borough School District
Local Technology Plan
July 1, 2004 - June 30, 2007

For Technology Supervisors in Other Districts

Please feel free to make a copy of our technology plan.  Note that it is not quite complete and is still in draft form.  It can be a helpful template if you have not written your plan- it has the layout and some (hopefully) easy-to-follow section cues that follow the checklist requirements laid out in the NJ DOE format.
You are also welcome to copy any sections, but please note:  because we are so small (incredibly so!), the plan is rather anemic and your district may do a lot more.  You may want to bolster it up a bit and add timelines and tables and other appendices that are applicable for your needs and resources.  I do not know if our plan meets the requirements of the technology team that will be reviewing and recommending approvals of the plan.
My only hope is that it can be helpful start and that it will save folks time.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or feedback: ivans@stocktonschool.us
Here it is in Word format:

Other Helpful Sites
Districts are to include a copy of their Technology Inventory Survey, submitted last year.  If you did it and need a copy, go to: http://www.nj.gov/njded/techno/survey/2003/reported.htm to select your county, district, and survey.  If you didn't complete the survey, go here to print a copy of the form: http://www.nj.gov/njded/techno/survey/results/2003/form.htm
If you want a PDF or Word copy of the DOE plan checklist, go to http://www.nj.gov/njded/techno/localtech/checklist.htm.  There are help hyperlinks that may be useful for you when you write your plan.
Section VI E asks for a summary of teacher technology proficiencies.  If you are in need of a sample survey to use or to adapt for your needs, here is the one we used.  (Adapted from the Boston Public Schools, with permission.)

All the best!
